Hafsten’s Welcome Brochure
Hafsten Resort is a year-round open recreation facility which is primarily aimed at families. You have to be 18 year of age to book a cabin or camping site. Under no circumstances are minors allowed to live here without a guardian. The number of persons in the cabins may not exceed the specified number of beds.
Between 23.00 and 07.00 we ask you to show extra consideration to sleeping neighbors. During troubadour nights at Strandkanten, music is played until 01.00.
We allow a maximum of 5 people per camping pitch. For additional visitors we charge 100 kr per visitor per night. This does not apply to your own children under 18 years.
Camping Key Europe
To be able to camp with us you need to buy a Camping Key Europe card. They are available at the reception or online (link below). With this card you get a number of benefits such as faster check-in and check-out, accident insurance, discounts and offers.
Are pets allowed?
You can bring pets with you when you live on a camping pitch, but these must always be kept on leash. Pets are not allowed to stay on the sand beach, but are allowed on the grass beach. It is absolutely imperative that you pick up the waste after your pets. Most of our cabins are allergy-free and you are not allowed to bring pets, however there are cabins where pets are allowed for a fee of 60 kr per night. Please state if you bring pets at the time of booking!
When does my reservation become binding?
You, as well as we, are bound by the reservation as soon as it is confirmed, orally or in writing, whether you have part in part or in full. When you make an online reservation it is bound as soon as you have paid in part or in full.
Important! Make sure that all information and dates are correct when you receive the reservation confirmation or invoice. In the event of a faul, please contact us immediately.
When do I need to pay?
Your reservations must be paid in full before your arrival. 20% is paid at the time of booking, (for telephone booking 20% is paid on invoice within ten days). The remaining amount must be paid no later than 40 days before your arrival.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If you don’t contact us immediately your reservation will be canceled and you will be charged a cancellation fee.
Can I change my reservation?
Yes, you can change your reservation by contacting us for a fee of 300 kr. However, no money will be refunded if you wish to change a reservation 40 days before arrival.
Can I cancel my reservation?
Yes, you can cancel your reservation. However, if cancellation occurs 40 days before arrival, all but the 20% reservation fee will be refunded. If cancellation occurs after 40 days of arrival, no money will be refunded unless you have cancellation insurance.
Free cancellation for all until the day before arrival
In these times, it is important that you should be able to feel maximum security with your booking with us and have as much flexibility as possible. We have made additions to our terms and conditions (which also apply to you with a booking that has already been made) which means that you never have to worry about your money burning inside.
You can now, for whatever reason, cancel your stay up to 14 days before arrival and get your full amount paid with us. You can use this amount for a booking later this year or any period in 2022, the only condition is that the booking must be made no later than December 20, 2021.
For bookings without cancellation protection, the said credit solution can be used when the booking is paid in full. For bookings with cancellation protection, the credit solution applies from the time the down payment is paid.
When does cancellation insurance apply?
Cancellation insurance can be purchased for all reservations for 225 kr per cottage or camping pitch. The cancellation insurance does not apply for school trips, group reservations and seasonal camping. The cancellation cover can only be purchased at the time of booking. The cancellation insurance cannot be purchased afterwards. When a reservation contains several cottages or camping pitches, the name of each cancellation insurance must be stated. The cancellation insurance applies due to illness or accidents of a more serious nature, which affects someone in the family or a fellow traveler. A copy of a medical certificate or certificate from an insurance company or other authority must then be sent to us. Thereafter, your money will be refunded, excluding administration fee of 375 kr and cancellation insurance fee of 225 kr. The cancellation insurance is valid for 24 hours prior to the arrival date.
As our guest, you have access to free Wifi throughout the resort (excluding streaming services).
What times should I remember?
You are welcome to check in to the campsite after 14.00 and to the cottage after 15.000 on the day of arrival. If you arrive later than 18.00, please notify the reception. When leaving, you must leave the cottage no later than 11.00 and for the camping pitch no later than 12.00.
Who cleans the cottage?
Cleaning is not included by default. The guest cleans the cabin. However, cleaning service can be purchased for 800 kr per cottage and 1800 kr for Strandvillan. Cleaning service must be purchased at the time of booking or at the latest on arrival.
What equipment is included in the cottages?
All cottages are equipped with TV, running water, refrigerators, microwave, toaster, hotplates and coffee makers. Dishware, cookware, frying pan, cutlery, saucepan, whisk, can opener etc. are all available in the cottages. The patio with outdoor furniture is available for all cottages.
All cottages have a WC with toilet paper, shower and shower gel.
Are sheets and towels available?
Pillows and blankets are available in all cabins. Bed sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel and towel can be rented for 95 kr per set. You will receive the bed sheets at the reception upon arrival. They will be returned upon departure.
What about the departure?
All guests must sign out upon departure.
Guests who have cleaned their cottage must report to an inspector or, if non available, to the reception.
The inspector will arrive within 45 minutes (please take this into account before your time of departure). When the cottage is approved, you will receive a receipt, which you can leave at the reception together with the key.
If you find that something is missing in the cabin that is on the equipment list when you arrive, please report this to the reception immediately.
How do the gates to the camping site work?
All guests receive a personal four-digit code for the gate. Only one car is allowed per cottage or camping pitch on the site. If you have additional cars, then these are to be parked at the parking lot. We also have a free parking lot 300 meters from the reception.
The gate will only let one car per reservation through. The entrance closes at 22.00 every day, the exit is open 24 hours a day.
All guests receive free showers in the service buildings for 4 minutes per day. If you want to shower longer than 4 minutes the price is 5 kr for every 4 minutes.
Washing machines and dryers
There are two laundry rooms, one in each service house. Each with washing machines, dryers and ironing boards with flat irons. Using the washing machines cost 30 kr. Using the dryers cost 25 kr. Only Hafstens Pay card applies.
For washing, please bring your own detergent.
Smoking is prohibited in all cottages and service buildings. If the inspector discovers that there was smoking in the cottage, a sanitation fee of 1500 kr will be charged.
Hafsten Resort AB is responsible for the processing of the personal data that you provide. Hafsten Resort AB will process your personal information in order to administer your reservation and payment as well as for certain marketing purposes.
You have the right to request once a year at no cost, in writing, to find out what information has been registered, from which the information has been retrieved and to receive information on any recipients to whom the information has been disclosed. You have the right at any time to request correction of any incorrect information. You may also declare that you oppose the use of personal data for marketing purposes.
Hafsten Resort was founded in 1955. Since its inception, the resort has been privately owned and operated by the Grytfors family. When Sixten & Clary started what was then called “Hafstens Camping”, there was only a simple kiosk building on the unique and scenic Hafstens Peninsula. During the more than 50 years that have passed, one of western Sweden’s leading leisure facilities has gradually gradually been developed here.
Today Ingela Grytfors is the driving force behind the development of Hafsten. Since 1990, Ingela has worked hard to make Hafsten into what it is today, a favorite destination for families and people, young and old.
